Okay, a romantic cruise — but which cruise?
Again, a private cruise will take you to all the big sights along the Seine. But unlike the big boats, there is no crowd of tourists spoiling the moment with your other half. You'll have your own skipper on board, who can share the history and stories behind the monuments lining the river — or, if you'd rather just relax, you can simply enjoy the ride and play your own music instead.
If you'd like to see a particular sight, stay out longer on the river, or have other special requests, just pop them in the booking form and our crew will be happy to organize it all for you.
This is the big advantage of a private cruise — you can customize the starting point, duration, itinerary and optional extras like live-guided commentary, dinner on board, a glass of champagne, or your favorite music playing in the background.
Yes, a private cruise is more expensive (the minimum fee is €390), but that price is for the entire boat — not per person — so you and your group have it all to yourselves. And after all, this is Paris… the City of Love. How many times will you get to do this?
A special dinner for two right on the river
Looking to cram as much romance into your Paris trip as possible? Or are you a foodie who wants to see culinary delights on the menu as well as history and romance? Then dinner on board your Seine cruise is a popular option available on many tours in Paris.
The big tours have a range of dining options on their cruises. Such as a romantic dinner for two with your own table by a window for an unobstructed view of Paris and a glass of champagne to set the mood. Or if you prefer, a baguette sandwich out on the deck.
At My Paris River, you can concoct your own menu and bring dinner and drinks on board. Or if you’d rather free up time to enjoy the sightseeing with your partner, we can have our caterer prepare and deliver dinner straight to the boat ready for when you arrive.
Just picture it: you cozily ensconced in a comfortable chair around a central table with no one around but you and the one you love. You sip on a glass of champagne as you savor the afterglow of a delicious dinner. The waters lap against the side of the pontoon, the crowds feel a million miles away, and just then you notice the eyes of the one you love light up as a famous monument floats into view just behind you.

What’s the best starting point for Seine river cruises?
The starting point seems like a minor detail — until you leave your accommodation and discover you have to rush to reach the starting point of your cruise on time because it’s farther away than you thought or hard to get to on public transportation.
So do check that the starting point of your Seine cruise is within easy reach of your accommodation in Paris. Most of the big tourist boats leave from central locations like Pont de l’Alma, Pont Neuf, and the Eiffel Tower. Others operate from less central areas, such as the Pont d’Issy and Pont de Bercy.
At My Paris River, you can book a cruise with a range of starting points, including city center locations like the Statue of Liberty, Invalides, Champs-Élysées, Orsay Museum, Louvre, or the Pont des Arts. You can also book a starting point a little farther outside of the center, say, the Pont d’Issy. You can even customize your cruise and choose another starting point altogether. Just be sure to let us know in the booking form. We’re happy to personalize the tour to your needs.
How to book a romantic Seine cruise in Paris
The easiest way is to book directly through the websites of the tour operators. These websites usually list prices, itineraries, cruise durations and starting points, most of which will be easily accessible on public transportation. If you have particular sights you absolutely must see, check the itinerary carefully to make sure these are included.
Also, have a careful look at the cancellation and rescheduling policy. The boat tours in Paris all come with indoor seating areas or protective awnings to keep you warm in winter and cool in summer. But you want your magical day on the Seine to be just right, don’t you. With the sun hitting the monuments in just the right way, the best lighting for photos to show off to friends and family back home, and a mesmerizing sunset over the Eiffel Tower and the Paris skyline.
But sometimes, the weather doesn’t cooperate. If this happens, you need flexibility to rearrange the day or time of your booking to stack the odds in your favor of getting the best weather possible for your cruise.
